In the future, the women’s Champions League will also show media

The streaming service Dazn will broadcast the Uefa Women’s Champions League in the future. Dazn announced this on Wednesday. From the coming 2021/22 season onwards, the contract with Uefa will apply for the next four seasons. It enables worldwide use. According to Dazn, the Middle East, North Africa and China are excluded.

Together with Youtube, Dazn will make the games freely available, which means that for the first time, Uefa will be centralizing all of the women’s Champions League games worldwide from one provider.

Dazn is apparently trying a mix of freely available videos and subscription models. In the first two years, viewers can watch all 61 games free of charge on Dazn’s YouTube channel. In the two seasons starting in 2023, 19 games will be broadcast free of charge, all games live on the paid streaming service. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland fans should experience the games of the German teams with German commentary live on Dazn.

Dazn had secured the most extensive TV package for the men’s Champions League from 2021/22. The Supercup between the Champions League and Europa League winners is also shown at Dazn. In addition, Dazn offers conferences and highlight reporting. The final also runs on free TV at ZDF.
