Traumatic end of the evening for a couple in downtown Nantes. During the night from Saturday to Sunday, around 4 a.m., a dozen individuals attacked a young woman in order to steal her mobile phone, near the
Jacques-Demy media library. His friend tried to intervene and got stabbed in the face. The young man suffers from a gash of about 5 cm on the cheek, reports the national police.
The police, who were immediately called upon, managed to arrest a few minutes later, near the castle of the dukes of Brittany, a 30-year-old corresponding to the description of the man who had stabbed him. He was taken into custody.
This suspect also matches the description of the perpetrator of another reported assault in the same area, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
