Markt Schwaben – A 43-year-old was so seriously injured in a fire on Friday evening in Markt Schwaben that his life was in danger. The police announced on Saturday. Shortly before 4.45 p.m., the integrated control center in Erding was informed of strong smoke development in a building in the Wiegenfeld used as a warehouse and workers’ accommodation. When the fire brigades from the area arrived, a 43-year-old Polish citizen was in a room that was emitting heavy smoke. Although the fire was quickly extinguished by the emergency services, the man was so seriously injured that he had to be hospitalized for resuscitation. The fire investigators of the criminal police have started investigations into the cause of the fire. According to the police, there are no indications of third-party negligence or a technical defect. The property damage amounts to around 1000 euros, the building itself remained undamaged.
