Impulsive, deceitful, authoritarian… what the personality survey reveals about the husband

Since June 18, 2021, Cédric Jubillar has been indicted for the murder of his wife, Delphine, a nurse from Cagnac-les-Mines who disappeared on the night of December 15 to 16, 2020 from the marital home. And whose body has not been found. As part of the investigation, a personality investigation was ordered a few days after the detention of the Tarnais, who claims his innocence.

After interviews with around forty people and the main defendant, a 35-page document was drafted and attached to the file. The character traits of the main accused are exposed and BFM was able to consult it.

Emotional immaturity, feeling of rejection

According to the news channel, it evokes the difficult childhood of the plasterer, but also his behavior with his family, his wife but also his way of being in society. According to the socio-legal worker who carried out the survey, Cédric Jubillar suffered from the placements he experienced during his childhood and which “could have been experienced by Cédric Jubillar as repetitions of rejection on the one hand, injustice on the other hand”, notes the investigator.

“Between 0 and 18, he had two or three foster families, he was a bit out of place like a bundle of dirty laundry. Immaturity, particularly affective in connection with his childhood, is something that psychiatric experts had already underlined, without raising any trait of perversity. The conclusion of the investigator, who analyzes everything she has collected, is also a bit like that. He is described as boastful and he is a guy who for a long time sought to have a place, love and who suffered a lot from the rejection that was his, “recognizes Me Emmanuelle Franck, one of Cédric’s three lawyers. Jubillar.

And this need for recognition also involves a belittling of his wife in public in order to capture the light on him, a simple plasterer when his wife is a nurse and earns a much better living than him. “He has always recognized it and says it’s his way of being,” notes his lawyer. Delphine’s desire to leave him would also have been very badly experienced in the summer of 2020, “already spotted as refractory to the breakups he suffered when he was a teenager”, quotes BFM.

Incompetent or hardworking, it depends

But these are not the only character traits that stand out, some describe him as manipulative, “deceitful”, impulsive and unfaithful. But also authoritarian, especially with his son Louis on whom he would have made a transfer, letting him nothing pass, without making him suffer the violence of which he himself would have been a victim in his childhood.

“The investigation is not settled, there are people who will not be able to blame him and say the worst horrors. And then there’s the host family who will describe what a teenager he was, that he couldn’t stand authority, smoked cannabis but deep down was nice. There is everything. People concede that he was very hardworking, others that he was incompetent as a drywaller and that’s why he didn’t have a permanent contract, ”says Me Franck.

One thing is certain, many of them wanted to “bring their stone” to this personality survey. The one who conducted it indicated in her report that when she fixed an interview with an acquaintance of Cédric Jubillar, it was not uncommon that when she arrived on the spot she found five people present who had something to say.

This sifting through the life of the main accused, his reactions over the years, will enlighten the jurors if the 35-year-old Tarnais is definitively returned to the Assizes. Which shouldn’t happen until next fall. If the reconstitution, one of the last acts of investigation took place last December, the three lawyers had also made requests for an act. Rejected, they should be heard on appeal by February.

An investigation report on Internet activities at the house’s Wi-Fi, via which the nurse connected to access her social networks via her never found phone, is also expected.

The two investigating judges will then have to close the case and write their indictment order, which the lawyers for the main suspect should appeal. Cédric Jubillar should not find himself at the helm of the Assize Court before the summer of 2024.
