The TV jungle is successfully reporting back. To kick off “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!” there were good ratings for RTL.

“I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!” is back. Apparently, many viewers had been looking forward to the reality spectacle in the Australian jungle, because RTL scored well with the opening episode of the new season on January 13th. A total of 4.26 million people over the age of three tuned in on Friday evening from 9:30 p.m., according to the broadcaster. This corresponds to a market share of 21.1 percent. At the top it was even up to 5.17 million.

The debut of moderator Jan Köppen (39) alongside Sonja Zietlow (54), who replaces Daniel Hartwich (44), was followed by 2.82 million people in the group of 14 to 59 year olds – a share of 29.9 Percent. The station was even more successful in the target group of 14 to 49 year olds. Here the jungle camp achieved an excellent market share of 37.3 percent.

The first exam in the jungle camp

The jungle camp will take place again as usual in Australia for the first time after it was broadcast from South Africa in 2022 due to the corona pandemic and there was even only one replacement “jungle show” in 2021. At the start, viewers also saw the first disgust test for the twelve celebrities who had traveled, including singer Lucas Cordalis (55), designer Claudia Effenberg (57) and NDW star musician Markus Mörl (63). Among other things, the station served up pig penises and crocodile eyes.

The show continues on this Saturday evening from 10:15 p.m. (also on RTL+). Before that, the broadcaster shows the first episode of the anniversary season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. From 8:15 p.m., the jury will again include pop titan Dieter Bohlen (68).
