Indeed, Ikea has already extended this branch in some European countries such as: Switzerland, Poland, Sweden, Germany and Benelux, for a few years. His ambition? Transpose this activity in all the countries where the Swedish giant is present.

France represents a real challenge for the company, given that self-consumption seems to remain for many a completely abstract concept. The figures are also self-explanatory. Only 77,804 French households consume their own electricity in 2020. In Germany, the proportion rises to 1.5 million households. The gap is truly abysmal. But who knows? Perhaps Ikea’s offer will help change attitudes.
