ERC Ingolstadt needs a comeback in the final of the German ice hockey championship against the title favorites from Munich. At least the players believe in the turnaround despite the 1: 3 deficit.

ERC Ingolstadt has not yet given up the fight for the championship in the German Ice Hockey League. “Our will is unbroken. It’s the little things we have to work on,” said Ingolstadt’s Danish striker Frederik Storm before the fifth final game (2 p.m. / MagentaSport) at EHC Red Bull Munich.

The Munich team leads 3-1 in the best-of-seven final series and has the chance to make the championship perfect in their own hall. The outsider from Ingolstadt wants to prevent that. The team must “go even harder on goal” and “fire more targets at the box,” said Storm.

“We’ll do everything we can to bring the series back to Ingolstadt,” said national player and ERC captain Fabio Wagner. Mentally, the team will hide everything that could happen after the game, Wagner explained. “We are fully focused on this fifth final game.”
