“I lived in hiding”, five years in prison required against a divorced mother on the run with her daughter

It was last March. Young Camille, a 16-year-old teenager from Var who has lived in Switzerland for several years with her mother, is skiing with friends. When she returns from her stay, her mother is no longer at the family home. In his absence, Priscilla Majani was arrested during a banal traffic check. At the helm of the Aix-en-Provence Court of Appeal, Martine, the director of her Swiss school with whom Camille took refuge, remembers. “Camille knew that if something happened to her mum, she could contact someone she trusted. »

For years, Priscilla Majani has been the subject of two arrest warrants. It’s been eleven years since she left the Var overnight, with her daughter. At the time of her disappearance, Priscilla Majani was living, in the words of the Advocate General of the Aix-en-Provence Court of Appeal Jean-Louis Persico, “a conflictual separation” with Camille’s father, who benefits from the joint custody of her daughter. “I had to leave my country, admits Priscilla Majani at the helm. I spent eleven years in hiding. I had a very good salary. »

“Dad put the penis in my buttocks”

In January 2011, a complaint for rape against Camille targeting her father was filed. In a hearing broadcast at the bar, between two colorings, the little blond head answers the relatively closed questions of the policeman. This is the second hearing of the little girl, whom her mother hears for the first time, crying, head down, in the dock. The policeman returns to a statement by the girl, according to which, according to her mother, she forgot to tell the police that she had been the victim of anal rape by her father. “Dad put the penis in my buttocks,” says Camille, then five years old. He was completely naked. He even took my panties off. “How did you feel?” How was it ? That tickles ? Was it cold? Did it hurt you? Between two questions, the little girl says she is tired, plays. And launches, in the face of repeated questions from the policeman: “It was cold. He hurt me very very badly. But I didn’t say it because I couldn’t remember. “Why did you say you hadn’t seen your daddy’s penis then?” “Bah, because I turned around.” »

An expert will estimate the tone of the “recitative” girl. The complaint is dismissed after two days of investigation. “I reconfirm it to you and I say it to the whole Earth, proclaims at the bar of the Aix-en-Provence Court of Appeal his father Alain. I never raped Camille. I’m not going to repeat it 100,000 times again. First of all, as a father, it’s not my cup of tea. I have never raped a woman. I never needed to do it and I don’t want to do it. »

An eleven-year run

In February 2011, a month after the complaint was closed, Priscilla Majani and her daughter Camille disappeared. “She left to protect her daughter,” argued her lawyer, Sophie Benayoun, at the bar. “For me, it is an act of courage what Madame Majani did, because her love as a mother went above all, at the risk of her life”, abounds her other lawyer, Me Myriam Guedj-Chauvet . The run of the mother with her daughter will last eleven years. Until his arrest at the beginning of 2022. Since then, Priscilla Majani has been in prison. Last September, she was sentenced to five years in prison for slanderous denunciation of her former husband and failure to present a child.

“You organized your departure with your daughter in a rather amazing way, which suggested that it was planned long before the filing without follow-up to the complaint, launches the president of the Aix-en-Provence court of appeal Corinne Hermerel. Your daughter has been out of school since January. She no longer appears on any school list, no longer benefits from care reimbursed by Social Security. Your cell phone stops transmitting very quickly. “Why did Madame flee? asks Camille’s father’s lawyer, Me Olivier Ferri. She is in the trap. Madam filed a complaint. The complaint is dismissed. She knows very well that faced with this type of accusation, if I press the button, it’s over for her. And that’s what’s going to happen. It is inevitable. She had fired the cartridge too many, in order to keep Camille away from her father. »

A hypothesis shared by the public ministry. “Since the beginning of this procedure, we have the impression that Madame Majani cannot accept that the father has rights, believes Jean-Louis Persico. It is the denial of the father by all means, including the manipulation of children to achieve his ends. “For the Advocate General, Camille was indeed a victim of “parental alienation syndrome” on the part of her mother, and requested, after a seven-hour long hearing, five years in prison, including four firm , against Priscilla Majani. The decision was reserved on January 4. For her part, as throughout the procedure, Camille, who refuses to see her father, was again absent. Aged 17, she was placed under guardianship in Switzerland. On November 18, according to information from 20 minutesthe teenager filed a complaint against her father for sexual, physical and psychological violence.
