Is there really no alternative to raising the retirement age from 67 to 68, 69 or 70, as many economists claim with reference to demographics? Chancellor Olaf Scholz says no. Now he is receiving support from the Federal Institute for Population Research (BiB). Its research director Sebastian Klüsener sees ways to get by without a higher retirement age.
