The US government accuses Trump of hindering relief efforts after Hurricane Milton by spreading false information. In a press conference, President Biden bursts his collar.
In view of the false allegations circulating, US President Joe Biden has given in Hurricane “Milton” reacted mockingly to the question of whether he was in contact with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. “Are you kidding?” he said to the questioning journalist and added to Trump: “Don’t you have a life, man? Help these people!”
Both Biden and his deputy Kamala Harris had accused Trump in recent days of hindering relief efforts after the storm by deliberately spreading misinformation. Now Biden said people risked their own lives to help others and faced death threats. This is a result of “reckless, irresponsible, relentless false claims and outright lies” that continue to be spread.
“Those who spread such lies undermine confidence in the rescue and recovery efforts,” Biden said. “These lies also harm those who need help most. Lives are at stake.”
