Hundreds of Erdoğan supporters celebrate on Munich’s Leopoldstrasse – Munich

After the election victory of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, around 400 supporters of the incumbent celebrated on Leopoldstrasse and Ludwigstrasse from 8 p.m. on Sunday evening, sometimes so excessively that the state security and the police moved in with 20 patrols and then more than 100 people because of reported various violations.

The officials issued 94 reports of traffic violations against participants in a motorcade with around 150 vehicles. There were other reports of insults, violations of the Assembly Act and the Explosives Act, because Bengalos were also detonated during the assembly. Two people have been arrested for stealing a Turkey flag.

The police had to temporarily block Leopoldstrasse around the Siegestor. Around 10 p.m. the meeting began to break up, and it finally ended just before midnight.
