Dispute snow guns. Hubert Aiwanger defends the subsidies for snowmaking at every opportunity, he sees himself as the savior of ski tourism. You shouldn’t “talk polemics from the green big city table”, he wrote on Twitter last Sunday. What was amusing was that the Bavarian Economics Minister included a photo of a slope with just a few patches of snow in the tweet. Malice follows promptly. A few days earlier, Deutschlandfunk had asked him about the energy consumption for artificial snow. “Anyone who sees criticism here should also forbid God to make snow,” said Aiwanger. And nobody knows what the future will bring anyway: maybe a meteorite will hit.
