Almond milk has a huge problem: it is not a particularly environmentally friendly food. The vegan milk substitute is more popular than ever before, as it is considered the ideal food for people who want to eat healthily and climate-consciously – and this does not only apply to vegans and vegetarians. Compared to the original from the cow, the production causes far less CO₂. Another advantage of the plant-based drink is that it is gluten- and lactose-free.
