“We have decided to maintain it at all costs, we want to continue to bring culture to life even if it is complicated because there will be no ticket office. We have therefore adapted it, 100% of the participants will be French this year. We usually do a draw to form the teams, this time we have predefined them. And the battles will take place behind closed doors but will be broadcast in digital format ”, explains Abdel Chouari, The festival director and four-time hip-hop dance world champion.
From this Friday, and after being tested, the teams will train, before competing under the watchful eye of the cameras Saturday evening live at 8 p.m., in a show broadcast on the Internet. So that the atmosphere of the battles is respected, the stage has been reduced. An edition saved thanks to the maintenance of public and private partnerships, which make it possible to broadcast this event for free, but also to the arrival of big names in hip-hop, such as Theodora or Dany Dann world champion of break dance.
