Interviewed by
Olaf Przybilla, Nuremberg/Munich
In 2018, Eva Kraus was director of the New Museum in Nuremberg, a state-owned building in Bavarian hands. At that time, she publicly refused to implement the “cross decree” devised by Markus Söder. It stipulated that a cross should be hung in all government offices, and consequently also in the museum. The decree was controversial and still is. This week the Bavarian Administrative Court will be hearing about it.
