Housing crisis: The City of Angels is unaffordable – Economy

According to a study, Los Angeles is the “most unaffordable city in the USA.” 35 percent of residents are thinking about leaving LA because of the high cost of housing. This is also likely to play a role in the presidential election campaign.

Two buildings are particularly striking when you look at the Los Angeles skyline. This is also because the two skyscrapers stand out visually from the otherwise rather monotonous cityscape. One is called Wilshire Grand Center and cannot be overlooked because it is actually the only skyscraper in the city center without gray Lego tower-like architecture – by LA standards, the roof construction is downright clever. The other is located at Oceanwide Plaza, next to the Grammy Museum and the Lakers Arena. To be precise, these are three buildings that everyone just calls “Graffiti Towers” because of the colorful messages on their walls.
