At its most recent meeting, the Hohenlinden municipal council commemorated the former second mayor, Paul Schweiger, who died in a tragic traffic accident, with a minute’s silence. Mayor Ludwig Maurer (ÜWH) underlined Schweiger’s decades of commitment to the community. Schweiger was second mayor of Hohenlinden from 1996 to 2002 and was a member of the municipal council from 1972 to 2002. In addition, Schweiger did voluntary work, for example he was active for many years as chairman of the field jury. “Paul Schweiger has rendered outstanding service to the community in many ways,” it said during the meeting. He will be fondly remembered as a role model.
