Is Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn “naturally welcoming”? Or rather “warm”, “connected” and “outstanding”? City council members will ponder this question for the next few weeks. Because they should decide on the new corporate design of the municipality – i.e. the way in which Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn will be presented in brochures, on posters, on the Internet and in other public appearances. The municipal council has now been presented with two possible design concepts – one with the slogan “Naturally sincerely”, the other with the triad “warmly connected. outstanding.”
The community currently has no specifications as to the design of its external appearance and public communication. For this reason, too, the coat of arms is often used, which is actually a national emblem and should therefore only adorn official documents, said Mayor Mindy Konwitschny (SPD). In the future, this will be replaced in many places by the municipality’s new logo, which together with the slogan is a central component of the corporate design. In addition, it also defines guidelines for the design, for example with regard to colors and fonts.
The community’s new appearance should have “contemporary aesthetics” and enable “modern communication,” explained Andrea Hemberger from the Hitcom agency in her presentation to the community council. The first concept with the slogan “Naturally cordial” relies on three “minimalist, modern symbols” in the form of pine needles, waves and a slightly misshapen heart. They stand for the Höhenkirchner forest, for the drinking water and for the Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunner clearing island, the shape of which is reminiscent of an upside-down heart, explained Hemberger. The colors chosen were a “warm, natural brown tone”, blue and a “fresh orange”. The heart of the clearing island is the focus of the second concept. This is framed in the logo by a square from which it protrudes in two places – matching the slogan “cordially connected. outstanding.” All of this should reflect the idea of a “modern community with a heart”, said Andrea Hemberger. According to her, the color concept includes “a dark blue flanked by a bold, fresh petrol”.
The concepts were intended as “first input for us”, said Konwitschny after the presentation. A decision in favor of one of the two variants should be made at the municipal council meeting at the end of September.
