Hohenbrunn: New indoor pool opens for everyone – district of Munich

After almost endless delays in construction and enormous increases in costs, the Riemerlingen indoor swimming pool in the municipality of Hohenbrunn has now started public operation. Hobby swimmers have been able to swim their lengths in the new pools of the modern swimming pool on the sports campus since Tuesday. Two lanes in the 25-metre pool are open to the public on Tuesdays and Fridays (8 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.), on Wednesdays (4 p.m. to 7 p.m.) and Sundays (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.) the entire pool including the teaching pool can be used. The normal rate for a visit to the pool is four euros, with a discount it costs three, and children pay two euros. A ten-person ticket costs 36 euros at the normal rate, annual tickets for adults are available for 200 euros each. Since November, the Riemerlinger Bad has been used by pupils from the elementary school and the Carl Steinmeier Middle School for swimming lessons, and now the Riemerlinger Haie athletes are also finding a home again – and not exactly cheap. About six years ago, the municipality of Hohenbrunn had expected construction costs of 22 million euros, now the new pool is costing them around 27 million euros.
