A 29-year-old fell on Saturday while hiking in Berchtesgadener Land and was fatally injured. As the police announced, the woman was out with an acquaintance on the Hochkalter mountain in Ramsau near Berchtesgaden early on Saturday morning. She slipped from an as yet unknown cause and fell about 300 meters down. She suffered severe injuries.
When the rescue workers arrived with a helicopter, the 29-year-old was already dead. The companion was brought down to the valley by helicopter and then cared for. The police are investigating how the accident happened.
