Hille’s triple murder | STERN.de

In the seclusion of East Westphalia, a friendship blossoms between two men who are a perfect match for each other – and who would have been better off never meeting

Jochen Kleine doesn’t need much to be happy. Cigarette. Beer. Quiet. That’s enough for him. Kleine is a humble man.

So there is much to suggest that he is happy on August 26, 2017. On this summer evening, Kleine, 64, with a thick mustache and a shy look, is sitting in front of a reddish-brown garden shed with checkered curtains. The hut is on the horse farm where Kleine works, right behind a weathered barn, by a grove of fir trees.

Two friends are sitting at the table with him. Karl Pannhorst* (names with * have been changed)51, owner of the farm, and Tim Niemeyer*, 23. The men grill, drink beer, their voices echo over the roofs, the mood is good during these hours.
