Some 200 high school students demonstrated in the streets of downtown Nantes on Monday afternoon to denounce the “examination conditions of the baccalaureate 2021 “.
Adolescents demand that the bac session be fully assessed in continuous assessment for first and final year students because of the disrupted school year and health issues. Several tests will indeed be marked according to the continuous assessment but some will have to take place face-to-face (French, philosophy, grand oral, etc.).
“The pressure is stronger than usual because of the current situation: we are not prepared to pass such significant and decisive tests in our life”, claims the inter-high school collective which also demands “more equality between institutions, high school students having been forced to a maximum of distance learning have been penalized ”. “We will continue to block, demonstrate, fight as long as it takes,” promise the high school demonstrators.
