High energy costs burden Germany as a business location – Economy

Basically, all you need is this small, two-column graphic to understand why so many international companies currently see Germany as an acute problem location, while the United States appears to be the promised land. Column one provides information on how many of the US companies operating in Germany see the location factor “energy costs” as a problem. Answer: 84 percent. If you ask the same question in reverse to German companies with branches in America, the result is just as clear – only the other way around: zero percent. Zero to 84, you don’t have to have studied business administration to suspect that German companies with high electricity or gas consumption in particular feel very alienated from their homeland and are flirting with the supposed land of unlimited opportunities.
