A 14-year-old boy, who confessed on Thursday to having stabbed to death his girlfriend of the same age a few hours earlier in a village in Saône-et-Loire, was indicted on Friday and imprisoned, we learned from judicial sources. “A judicial investigation for voluntary homicide with premeditation or ambush (assassination) was opened today and entrusted to an investigating judge of the criminal division of the judicial court of Chalon-sur-Saône”, specifies the public prosecutor of Chalon-sur-Saône, Patrice Guigon, adding that the teenager has been indicted and placed under a warrant.

The young boy was incarcerated in an establishment with a section for minors and a psychiatric health unit, according to the magistrate. Early Thursday morning in Clessé, the body of the teenager, with numerous wounds and a knife still stuck in her neck, was discovered on the public road near the town hall and her former primary school in this wine-growing village. The suspicions of the investigators of the research section of the Dijon gendarmerie quickly turned to her boyfriend, who was arrested in the morning at the college of Lugny, where the victim was also educated.
