Heimstetten: 17-year-old hit by the S-Bahn and seriously injured – Munich district

A youth was hit by an S-Bahn near Heimstetten and seriously injured. According to initial investigations, the 17-year-old wanted to “just quickly” cross the tracks on Saturday evening, as the police announced on Sunday. Despite the initiated emergency braking, the S2 moving into town caught the young person and threw him off the track area.

He was taken to a hospital by paramedics. According to initial medical information, he suffered a pelvic fracture and bruises all over his body.

The approximately 70 passengers in the S-Bahn were unharmed in the collision. The Munich federal police are now investigating the 17-year-old for endangering rail traffic and warns against unauthorized crossing of tracks.
