Even if you don’t look at her: Heidi Klum celebrated her 50th birthday on June 1st. And the model is not only famous for her international career, she LOVES throwing pompous parties.
Your Halloween celebrations are legendary! This time, however, she gave the scepter into other hands: her husband Tom Kaulitz and his twin brother Bill (both 33) planned a huge break for them.
But how do you organize an unforgettable party for someone who has been to just about every mega event? “The pressure was great. All the people flew in”, says Bill in the podcast “ Kaulitz Hills” to.

Mega 1920’s style party in Los Angeles
200 people wanted to celebrate their birthday with Heidi Klum. There had to be a very special celebration. “The motto was the 20s and Hollywood,” reveals Bill.
And it was important to the musicians that everyone really dressed up.

And so did the guests. The party people all came in snazzy suits and sparkling dresses. The brothers had rented a private penthouse overlooking Los Angeles. There was a champagne fountain, ice figures and an oversized cake to match the celebration. The twins also had a band flown in from Europe.
“It takes a lot to have a party like this,” says Tom. Did Heidi like it? YES! She absolutely loved it. “We had a really nice time, it worked wonderfully. A complete success,” confirms Bill.

Luxury journey with the Orient Express
But the best memory of her 50th birthday is still to come, because: Bill gave Heidi a luxury trip on the Orient Express for the day of the tumble. “There are only two of these suites and I booked them,” reveals the singer in the podcast.
And what did Tom buy for his sweetheart? “I keep my gift to myself. But I can say it was a big surprise. It’s not easy to give something and I also gave something that has a nostalgic thought, that reminds me of the past.”
It was a “very personal gift” with “a huge bow on the front”.
What a journey with the cult train looks like
The luxurious “Venice Simplon-Orient-Express” runs from London via Paris to Verona or Venice. Once a year the train runs from London to Berlin and back.
The ticket prices per trip start at 3450 euros per person for a double cabin and 9800 euros per person for a grand suite. The luxurious cabins are decorated in the style of the 1920s and 30s and have a separate living and sleeping area with a private bathroom.
Personal round-the-clock butler service and unlimited champagne are of course also available.
