Several people were injured in forest and wildfires in Germany. According to the police and fire brigade, some had to Injured during extinguishing operations in Baden-Württemberg and North Rhine-Westphalia be taken to hospitals, but there was no danger to life.
A field fire spread to a farm near Alsdorf near Aachen on Tuesday evening. Seven people were mostly slightly injured in this operation, and two firefighters had to go to the hospital. According to the police, a harvested field covering an area of around 2.5 hectares initially burned, with the flames also affecting the building. Three residents and two firefighters were slightly injured, two other emergency services were taken to hospitals with injuries.
According to the local fire brigade in Kronau, Baden-Württemberg, a firefighter suffered smoke poisoning in a field fire and had to be taken to a hospital. Other helpers were treated on site by the rescue service because of circulatory problems and minor injuries.
