The 73-year-old finally wants to meet his granddaughter Lilibet Diana personally, writes the British newspaper “The Mirror”. Harry and his wife Meghan’s second child was born on June 4, 2021 in Santa Barbara, where the couple lives after leaving the royal family. Apart from video calls, Prince Charles has never met his granddaughter in person. Harry’s son, Archie, who is now two, last saw the royal family in 2019.
“The Prince of Wales is saddened not to have the opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren who he misses dearly. He is a fantastic grandfather and loves taking on the role and it is fair to say that he feels something is missing in his life if he can’t meet Harry’s children,” the Mirror quoted an anonymous source close to Charles as saying. The heir to the throne is said to have offered his son a trip to his old homeland around Christmas.
