The dispute in the Schumacher house had escalated in the past few days. Now Cora Schumacher has announced that she wants to withdraw from social networks for the time being after receiving disgusting messages.
After a public exchange of blows with her son David, Cora Schumacher has announced her temporary withdrawal from social media. In a story on Instagram she wrote: “Due to the hate messages that increased after my son’s statement (…) I am withdrawing from social networks for the time being and have closed the comment function.” The attacks were unbearable, said Schumacher. According to her, these include death threats and calls for suicide.
This was preceded by public family disputes since Ralf Schumacher’s coming out, which had recently gained momentum. After David Schumacher made violent accusations to his mother on Instagram and reported alleged mental problems on her part, among other things to read on “RTL.de”. Cora apparently responded with a letter from a lawyer. A few days ago, the 22-year-old showed a document on Instagram asking him to cease and desist and delete the revealing Instagram stories.
The argument gained more and more momentum
David Schumacher commented on the lawyer’s letter: “Unfortunately, if the truth is painful, you have to send your own son a lawyer’s letter.”
Now mother Cora is reacting by announcing that she is withdrawing from social media. This could bring some calm to the family dispute, which had gradually escalated since Ralf’s coming out. At first – at least in public – it was mainly he and Cora who argued. She accused him of not letting him know about his coming out in advance. Ralf contradicted this – and then she contradicted him. The argument became more intense. For the time being, son David Schumacher was left out.
In mid-August, he and Ralf were asked by RTL about the public exchange of blows in the run-up to a car race in which they took part as a team. However, according to his own statement, this did not put a strain on the father-son team during the race: “Definitely not on me, no,” said Ralf Schumacher in response to a question from RTL. And son David added: “It’s the same for me. It’s the same for me anyway… I have nothing to do with it, it doesn’t stick in my head either. And as soon as the visor is closed or the door is closed, it’s all about that Driving and nothing else.”
Within two months, however, it became clear that those involved had at least their Instagram visors wide open. Cora’s announced withdrawal from social media could now bring some calm to the matter.
