Hollywood legend Harrison Ford, who came to present the world premiere Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny in Cannes, received an honorary Palme d’Or on Thursday evening before the screening of the film.
“I am deeply touched by this distinction,” reacted the 80-year-old American actor, visibly very moved, after receiving the award from Thierry Frémaux, the Festival’s general delegate.
By announcing that the fifth part of the adventures of the famous archaeologist would be shown on the Croisette, the organizers had indicated that an “exceptional tribute” would be paid to Harrison Ford, without further details.
