Harassment lawsuit: Cuba Gooding Jr. does not have to be incarcerated – Panorama

The Oscar winner has admitted to kissing a woman on the mouth and groping women on two other occasions. Because he has already taken behavioral courses, he remains at large.

Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr. (54) avoids a prison sentence in a procedure for allegations of harassment. The actor, who admitted his guilt in a New York court last April, has now met all the conditions, a spokeswoman for the prosecutor’s office told CNN. Gooding appeared in court on Thursday. Among other things, he had to take part in further behavioral courses this year.

The actor turned himself in to police in June 2019 after a woman made allegations of harassment. Gooding initially denied the allegations. Scores of other women have come forward with allegations, including in California and Texas. However, most of the alleged incidents happened too long ago to be prosecuted. Last April, Gooding admitted in court that he forced a kiss on a woman at a Manhattan club in 2018 and groped women on two other occasions. Gooding won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in 1997 for his role in Jerry Maguire: The Game of Life.
