While the footballers in the national jersey are weakening, the German handball U21s are celebrating a great success: the juniors made it to the World Cup final against Serbia. Especially in the second half, the DHB team showed their skills.
At 9:5 in the 14th minute, the German team had pulled clear for the first time. Goalkeeper Lasse Ludwig acted strongly. In addition, the Serbian defense specialist Luka Rogan saw the red card from the Algerian referees after a too hard challenge against Nils Lichtlein (18th). Initially, however, Germany was not able to really benefit from this. At 13:13 (26th) Serbia had equalized again.

The Heuberger team then came out of the break highly concentrated. In the 40th minute, Uscins increased the lead to 26:20 and set the course for victory. Only Milos Kos could keep up with the Serbs. But even the nine goals of the powerful backcourt player were not enough to jeopardize Germany’s well-deserved entry into the final.
