Olympic champion France has successfully started the main round of the handball world championship. The co-favorite for the title prevailed 35:24 (16:13) against Montenegro and is still on course for the quarter-finals after the fourth win in the fourth game.

The French’s most successful thrower in Kraków, Poland, was Melvyn Richardson with ten goals. Milos Bozovic was the top scorer for Montenegro with six goals.
