With the end of the dark season, many are craving color. Good that the hair trend for spring 2022 fulfills that.

From the runways to celebs on Instagram, pink hair is back – and it’s more wearable than you might think. Stars like Jennifer Lopez (52), Madonna (63) and Kaia Gerber (20) have already opted for this color and show how to wear pink hair.

Why is pink hair trendy?

There is no doubt that Rosa is doing well on Instagram and TikTok. As consumers of social media, we tend to favor trends that are eye-catching and meaningful. The need for variety and contrast in the face of the pandemic might be why the color is in right now. It’s a very happy, positive color – just what we all need right now.

The celebrities show off their pink hair on Instagram

Celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton has his followers on Instagram Jennifer Lopez’s hair color presented. JLo shows how the look works. The pink hair looks particularly good with peachy highlights on her cheeks and nude lips.

Madonna enlisted Nicola Clarke, creative color director at John Frieda Salons, to emulate the trend. The result is a perfect shade of pink held by Madonna with matching flowers presented to her followers. The singer styles her hair backwards in a sleek look. Pink lipstick and a delicate blush flatter the face.

Also Kaia Gerber has opted for a pink hair makeover. She even took her followers to dye their hair on an IGTV. The model received help and tips in a video call with the renowned hairstylist Guido Paulo.

Hair coloring tips

For light blonde tones, a soft pink is the perfect way to keep hair light and still add color. With darker blond hair, the color is not as strong as on the package. In general, with dark hair, this shade can only be achieved by bleaching the hair. The pink tones usually fade quickly. If you want to slow down the fading, shampoo your hair less often. This keeps the color longer.
