Haar near Munich – community saves on heat and light – district of Munich

Hair saves energy. And the community leaves nothing out. The workers at the building yard in Ottendichl make sure that everyone who enters the building closes the door behind them. The outdoor lighting at the town hall will be reduced to what is necessary, but everyone will still be able to find their way to the new ID machine behind the building, assures Mayor Andreas Bukowski (CSU). However, Bukowski is critical of the fact that the temperature in the offices in the town hall should be reduced to 19 degrees, because it is quite cool for the employees in the registration office and social welfare office who sit a lot.

The first complaints from citizens, for whom the water in the indoor pools is too cold, have already reached the town hall, said Bukowski in the municipal council. But two degrees less would save 25 percent of energy, he defended the savings measure. Wherever possible, lamps and lanterns are converted to LEDs, and this is also possible with a floodlight system. The library on Leibstraße also reduces its outdoor lighting, and it even stays completely dark there on Sundays. And the office at the recycling center is heated less. A lot has also happened in the sports park, where temperatures are being reduced. According to the mayor, savings are also being made in the racket park, fitness area and dance school. Ventilation intervals would be adjusted.

The Disciples baseball players and the TSV Haar athletes finally rearranged their booking times in the school sports hall in the Jagdfeld so that it is not used at weekends and therefore does not have to be heated.
