The Munich real estate company Wöhr und Bauer revamps discarded commercial buildings to make them more attractive for companies and employees. In Haar, the former headquarters of the pharmaceutical company MSD is to be marketed in this way as “Agora”.

Everyone came together at the Agora. Trade was conducted there and resourceful minds competed as speakers on the marketplace in ancient Greece for the best ideas and followers. It was a lively, creative and, according to today’s ideas, certainly also a productive place. The real estate company Wöhr und Bauer has brought the Agora to the Munich suburb of Haar. Two and a half years ago, it bought the 17,000 square meter office property from MSD Sharp & Dohme in the municipality, where the pharmaceutical company had had its headquarters for Germany and Europe since the mid-1990s. MSD wanted to leave because it was believed that the employees would be more creative and productive in the working world of the “Macherei” in Berg am Laim. Wöhr and Bauer now want to prove that this is possible in Haar within the old walls. The MSD office complex is to experience a renaissance under the name “Agora”.
