The year 1972 was a turning point for hair. Sister Notburga left on June 30th. She was the last of three Sisters of the Order of the “Holy Family” who until then had covered the local nursing, elderly and child care. A social network had to be rebuilt or created first. And so 28 hairdressers founded the neighborhood help, with which helpers initially lent a hand for five marks an hour. 50 years later, the organization stands by everyone who needs it – from small children to the elderly. The SZ spoke to managing director Margareta Förster, 61.
