He hit a woman and shot with a stun gun: The Hamburg rapper Gzuz now has to go to prison for this, his revision was discarded.
The Hamburg rapper Gzuz (real name Kristoffer Jonas Klauß) has to go to prison. According to the DPA news agency, the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court did not recognize any legal errors in the corresponding verdict of the regional court in March. This means that Gzuz’ appeal has been dismissed and the 34-year-old’s eight-month and two-week prison sentence has become final.
It is not yet certain when Gzuz will arrive. This is determined by the responsible public prosecutor’s office in Hamburg. The Billwerder prison in Hamburg is intended for shorter prison sentences.
Gzuz sentenced to prison in September in March
The musician had been convicted about six months ago, among other things, for violating the Explosives Act and violations of the Weapons Act. He shot New Year’s Eve 2018 several times with a blank gun, although he was forbidden to carry any weapons. Police also found illegal fireworks in his home. In addition, Gzuz had hit a woman in the face on the Hamburg Reeperbahn, which resulted in a conviction for bodily harm.
In addition to the prison sentence, the criminal division of the Hamburg district court had imposed a fine totaling EUR 414,000 (180 daily rates of EUR 2,300) on the father of two daughters (who star reported).
The rapper has a number of previous convictions, including for violent crimes. A procedure initiated in 2018 for a blow to an Alster swan, on the other hand, had no consequences for him.
Gzuz is known as the frontman of the Hamburg hip-hop group “187 Straßenbande” (“Extasy”, “Millionaire”), which was founded in 2006. Their texts repeatedly draw criticism for glorifying violence.
