Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s daughter’s name is Apple. The actress has now revealed who came up with the idea.
US actress Gwyneth Paltrow (49) has revealed the story behind her daughter’s unusual name. The “People” magazine reports from the actress’ Q&A session on Instagram. According to this, Apple Martin (17) owes her name to her father, the British musician Chris Martin (45).
“Her father came up with the idea for the name and I fell in love with her,” says the “Iron Man” star. “I thought he was original and cool,” Paltrow continued. She couldn’t imagine any other name for her daughter.

The Oscar winner also has 16-year-old son Moses Martin with the Coldplay frontman. Paltrow and Martin were married to each other from 2003 to 2016. After announcing their “conscious split” in 2014, they have remained close as family and friends.
Gwyneth Paltrow has been married to Brad Falchuk (51) since 2018 and is stepmother to his two children, Brody and Isabella. Chris Martin is in a relationship with “Fifty Shades of Gray” star Dakota Johnson (32).
