Investigators have found a blank gun and ammunition in the room of a 17-year-old student in Middle Franconia. A forbidden knife and several grams of marijuana were discovered there, the police said on Tuesday. On Monday, an anonymous reference to a firearm led to a major police operation at a middle school in Oberasbach (Fürth district). During the search, however, the emergency services had not discovered any weapon.
The alarm pistol is one of the so-called PTB weapons that can be freely sold from the age of 18. A small gun license is required for them. The student was targeted by investigators on Monday afternoon. In the evening they ransacked his parents’ home. They confiscated the guns and marijuana. The police are now investigating the young person for possible violations of the Arms and Narcotics Act. The school administration temporarily banned him from school.
