Grünwald rejects expansion plans for the Pullach chemical plant – district of Munich

Resistance to the expansion plans of the Pullach chemical plant United Initiators is not only spreading in the local community. Now the municipal council in the neighboring village of Grünwald has clearly declared its unwillingness to be about it. With a unanimous decision, the committee rejected a major part of the project – the rededication of two previous commercial areas on the factory premises into industrial areas. When the municipal council first commented on the chemical company’s plans in November 2020, it was already complaining about the expected increase in traffic and pollutant emissions. At that time, however, there was no talk of converting commercial into industrial areas. This would increase emissions and immissions in the middle of FFH and residential areas, said the Grünwald building authority manager on Wednesday. With the current decision, Grünwald is now “adding a shovel”.
