Grünwald – Green municipal councilor resigns mandate – district of Munich

“The tone and the culture of discussion” in the Grünwalder municipal council are reasons why Corinna Gast, who was only newly elected for the Greens in 2020, has now given up her mandate. “I don’t feel well anymore. Every time after the session I’m depressed because any change was blocked, and in the long run my time and mental health is too good for me,” said the 23-year-old at the session on Tuesday evening. Furthermore, her final year of study in veterinary medicine is now beginning, the practical year with many night and weekend shifts and then the state examination. For this reason, too, she must now organize her time better. The student hopes that her successor, Holger Ladewig, will bring a “breath of fresh air” to the municipal council. The self-employed engineer, who is on a political committee for the first time, says he is looking forward to the task, but asks for leniency. “I have to get used to it first.”
