Grünwald – fallow deer warms up in the winter sun – district of Munich

While we humans sit in the warm living room with a cup of tea in the wind and cold, forest animals have to get through the winter without these amenities. A layer of fat eaten up in autumn, a thick tailor-made winter coat and, above all, doing nothing help them. They practically live on the back burner and every ray of sunshine is good, as here for the fallow deer in their enclosure at the forester’s lodge in Wörnbrunn.
