Gross Domestic Product – US Economy Growing A Little Faster – Economy

US economic growth accelerated somewhat in the spring. The gross domestic product (GDP) of the United States rose in the second quarter to the year extrapolated by 6.6 percent, as the Department of Commerce announced on Thursday in Washington in a second estimate. In a first estimate, a slightly lower growth of 6.5 percent was determined. American economic growth accelerated slightly compared to the first quarter. During this period the economy grew by a revised 6.3 percent. Since American growth figures are traditionally extrapolated to the year, they cannot be directly compared with European data. There is no such annualization in Europe.
