A young woman died in a used clothes container near Aschaffenburg in Bavaria. The 25-year-old was stuck with the upper body in the container in Großostheim, Lower Franconia, the police said on Friday. It can be assumed that she tried to get clothes out. When the emergency services arrived, they could have quickly freed the woman, but could only determine her death. The police are now investigating, said the spokesman, but assume a tragic accident.
Similar accidents had occurred several times in the past few weeks. At the end of June in Düsseldorf, a 41-year-old was probably stuck and died while trying to get clothes out of a container. In Hilchenbach, Siegerland, a 40-year-old was killed in a similar way shortly before. In Braunschweig, a man tried to get a bag out of the container in 2019. In the bag was his apartment key, which he must have accidentally thrown in. He was taken to hospital with injuries and died there.
