Fatal bet for dessert: “Grill den Henssler” is over for now (at least for one show)

Steffen Henssler loves taking risks: for the season finale, comedian Chris Tall bets the TV chef that he will rename the popular TV show “Grill den Henssler” to “Hänsel den Griller”. At least for one show. Henssler agrees, a mistake?
Although the European Football Championship does not start until June 14, the season finale of “Grill den Henssler” is already all about football. The playing, sorry, cooking line-up is as follows: presenter Cathy Hummels, football world champion Kevin Großkreutz and comedian Chris Tall. The man on the sidelines for the celebrity team: Anton Schmaus, star chef and head chef of the national team.
For Steffen Henssler, it’s all about the “man against man” pressure against Chris Tall: If the cooking king loses this duel, “Grill den Henssler” will be history for the time being. Comedian Chris Tall has made a bet with Henssler. He challenges the TV chef to his dessert “Marble Cake Black-Red-Gold”: “If I grill you, you’ll start the next season with a different show name! Then ‘Grill den Henssler’ will become ‘Hänsel den Griller’.”
“Stupidest idea ever”
Steffen Henssler agrees – and goes one step further: “We’ll do it with goalkeeper gloves.” The audience cheers, coach Anton Schmaus says “No”, but Tall has no objections: “The coach has no objections, but he also has no idea about entertainment.”

And off we go: Cooking with goal-wall gloves? Something that the comedian at least quickly regrets: “Stupidest idea ever!” Henssler, on the other hand, does not feel limited by it. “It’s a bit like a workout.” And then it’s time for the sausage, sorry, the black-red-gold marble cake: sugar, eggs, cream, butter and of course flour. The “black-red-gold” comes in three different sauces for both chefs. And which one tastes better?
The jury’s verdict from Christian Rach, Rainer Calmund and Jana Ina Zarella has been reached: The first episode of the summer special will be called “Hansel the Griller”. Rach and Calmund couldn’t decide who baked the better marble cake. But Jana Ina Zarella decided the duel in favor of comedian Chris Tall. Steffen Henssler will be grilled – and teased in the next show.
