The Lochham primary school on the school campus, the so-called Unterfeld in Rottenbucherstrasse, buildings around the St. Stefan church – Georg Pollok helped shape Graefelfing’s urban appearance as an architect. He died on Monday just three days before his 95th birthday. Above all, Pollok was involved in the housing company of the municipality of Gräfelfing, the municipal building, founded in 1956, and supported the company in an advisory and planning capacity and until 2014 as a member of the supervisory board. In addition, he developed and implemented the Unterfeld, the residential development along Rottenbucher Strasse, which is now mostly municipal housing. During the construction of the parish church of Saint Stefan in 1971, he acted as site manager, and many extensions of the parish center followed, which bear his creative signature. He was a volunteer at the church, including on the parish council. In 2013 he received the Silver Citizens’ Medal from the Municipality of Gräfelfing for his work.
