Got it! YouTuber promoting FTX sued for soliciting people under cover of money

Several YouTubers promoting FTX have been sued, claiming that they promoted FTX to their millions of followers without disclosing payment.

Among those sued are Erika Kullberg, Ben Armstrong — known as BitBoy in the crypto community — and Kevin Paffrath, “Meet Kevin” on YouTube.

However, Paffrath made a statement in a YouTube video on Nov. 22, apologizing about promoting FTX, saying “yes, I used to get paid from FTX and I think it’s a disgrace. and it’s terrible If I could go back, I wouldn’t do it because people were hurt because of that. I feel really bad about people being hurt because of FTX and it’s such a disgrace.”

The plaintiff’s representative is Adam Moskowitz of the law firm Moskowitz, who was involved in a lawsuit involving FTX alleging Tom Brady, Gisele Bündchen and other celebrities also promoted FTX.

“Even though FTX paid the defendants handsomely to push the brand. and encourage their followers to invest in the company. But the Defendants did not disclose their sponsorship and/or endorsement, payment, and compensation agreements.”
