There is a shooting in a shisha bar in Göppingen, one man dies and two others are critically injured. The perpetrator has not yet been caught.

The police are still searching for the perpetrator after the fatal shots in a bar in Göppingen. A press spokesman said on Friday morning that the crime scene was a shisha bar in the southeast of the city. The investigators initially did not provide any further details. The police have so far ruled out any danger to the population from the fleeing perpetrator.

The attack occurred on Thursday night: A 29-year-old was fatally injured and died shortly afterwards, the police and the public prosecutor announced. Two other men were shot and taken to hospitals with life-threatening injuries.

Göppingen: Special commission was set up

The suspect, dressed in black, is said to be around 18 to 24 years old and fled towards the train station. A large contingent of police and a helicopter was used to search for him – in vain. The Baden-Württemberg State Criminal Police Office (LKA) is involved in the investigation. A special commission called “Kurz” was set up.

It must be examined whether there is a connection to the clashes between rival gangs in the greater Stuttgart area. In the bloody feud between the rival groups, people have been shot at since the summer of 2022, and a hand grenade also exploded. However, the number of incidents has decreased significantly in recent months.
