Actually, actor Bruce Willis should get a “Golden Raspberry” for his past roles – they were too bad in the eyes of the jury. But because of the illness that has recently become known and the end of his career, Willis is spared the malice.

The “Golden Raspberry” contributors have withdrawn the smear award recently bestowed on Bruce Willis due to the actor’s illness. “If medical conditions are a factor in a person’s decision or performance, then it is not appropriate to give them a raid,” the group said in a statement Thursday.

The day before it had become known that the 67-year-old “Die Hard” star ended his acting career due to illness. He has been diagnosed with aphasia, which affects his cognitive abilities, his family said in a statement.

Eight bad roles in one year

The organizers of the “Golden Raspberry” or “Razzies” had come up with a special section for Willis this year – on the grounds that he had eight bad roles in 2021, including in films like “American Siege”, “Deadlock” and “Cosmic Sin”. The latter was fatal to him last Saturday (March 26) when the names of the “Razzie” recipients were announced.

Aphasias are disorders, such as speaking, understanding, writing or reading, which can occur as a result of various diseases, often after a stroke.

Voice actor lent his voice to Willis for 40 years

Bruce Willis was also one of the actors he preferred to dub for his German voice Manfred Lehmann, he told the German Press Agency on Thursday. “He was one of my favorites because we don’t know each other, but I’ve been speaking him for 40 years, I think, and you get a lot of things from that and I always liked him too.” Once he also met Willis personally. “We talked a bit and I found him very likeable.”
